FAQs

1. How do I book a visit and what are the time slots?

You can use our contact details on the bottom of the page to either ring or email to arrange to view nursery. Our visit times are every day at either 10.30am or 2pm. Appointments do have to made to make sure we have the time to answer all your questions.

2. What would I do if I decide I want my child to come to Toybox?

If you decided you want your child join Toybox, we ask that you fill out an application form given to you in the information leaflet that we give out on the visit and bring the form in as soon as possible. We ask for a £30 registration fee to secure you space, we will book your child’s settling in sessions, if you know the date your child will be starting. If you are unsure we can make a note to contact you near the time to ensure the settling in sessions are before your child’s start date.

3. How do you support my child’s development?

We support your child’s development from when they very first start nursery, we collect information from yourself and ask you specific questions about routines and milestones your child has reached. Once your child is settled we begin their development file. This includes progress reports and observations to help us find a child’s starting points and help them in next steps of their development. Our observation and planning system is designed to support children individually using their interests as a base to encourage further exploration and plan next steps personal to each child. We also have several ways of involving parents in their child’s learning whilst at nursery.
